To the hill we went.

For Estee's 22nd birthday we put together a one night getaway to the hill-of-not-much-to-do, Frasers Hill. We booked the stay a couple of nights before and away we went. The only planned activity for the day is self brought STEAMBOAT :D which turned out to be illegal for the apartment had a no-cooking policy depsite it's built in kitchen! So, away Estee, Sarah, Jit Yang, Ming and I went. It was sort of Kelab Penganggur, substituting Florence with Estee and CKong was working. We kept talking about never leaving PJ cause we were behind schedual and went to put petrol, figured our way there but that is the way we are :) We love one another for being such. Whenever I get together with this great people, conversations never seem to stop that is when the roads started winding and I immediately tuned down. Im not the best companion on the drive on winding roads. boohoo. Queitness only came when we were really tired and slept. Otherwise, there were no reason to stop talking.

A long windy road up but once we got there, it felt so worth it. The weather was so cool, it just blew away our up tightness of the heat in the city. The moment we stepped down the car, it just felt so so good. Took our lunch and got checked in. The whole trip was about, talking, sleeping and eating. Even when we went out to get on some paddle boats, it was closed. We were meant to do nothing :D So we just drove around and 'explored'. Went to take some photos at the smokehouse.

I was terrible at it!

The girls took the steamboat seriously and a day before we went marketing to get all the stuff. The boys only knew we were really having steamboat when we they saw all the stuff we brought for the trip. So in the evening we started getting ready for the meal and suddenly when water was placed into the pot for stock, drama. There was a pin hole in the pot and water was leaking out. No way we could bypass it.. The highlight of the trip it was .. Hehehe. Thank God the restaurant we went for lunch was so kind to loan us a mini but sufficient pot to us at no charge! Estee, your another birthday present leh :D Free pot for a day. Heehee.. While I was prearing the steamboat, I didn't realise the others went and prepare the al fresco-tatami dining area.

Our dining area where we got attacked by bird poop. Luckily, it landed on a plastic bag and we quickly shifted inside abit to be under some shelter. I cannot imagine the drama if it landed on yong ming's head. TEEHEE :D

At night, we braved the cold and wore stockings *the girls* and went out to talk even more. Sat down by a bench at the playground and chatted. Oooh, how to topics of our conversations now were never even imagined when we were in school. We are growing old but thankfully, together ♥ 

Got back to our apartment and we prepared for the 'surprise' for our dear Estee. HAPPY 22nd BIRTHDAY MY LOVE. As she is starting work this week, I wish her all the best in the corporate world :) This little daughter of mine is flying already. Oh, how I will miss all our facebook conversations about everything. No more suppers ahh ;) My friends are all so different in character, how did we ever gel into one another is so amazing.
